Great List!

I just bought Suttle's book and have found it to be understandably a little outdated, but still extremely helpful. I just compiled a list of the 10K+ peaks of Southern California. Check it out if you're interested here. I'd like some feedback, thanks.

County Highpoints

I agree! I've tried to view a few other states and couldn't find an other map like this. Real cool. This is something that should be present for all highpoints whether county, state, or country!

Miffed

Can I ask what the motivation is for trying to undertake something like this?

Miffled

The latter. I'm just interested, obviously people have different motivations in their climbing ambitions and I was wondering what was the motivation here. Cheers.

Re: Miffled

Probably the biggest draw is that it takes you to parts of the state or country you would never otherwise visit. Some of my most pleasant outings were to such places in California. Certainly it's a great deal different than standard mountaineering. More like a geography lesson with each hike.

Yes, it's a great why to see Calif. You will go to places and see more cool stuff then you can Imagine. Thanks for the page Bob.

Re: Interactive Map

Yeah,
I was working on some Javascript to do that, but it didn't quite work out right. I think I'll simply disable that little feature.

Hot Springs Mtn.

Hot Springs Mountain should be added to the private list. The Los Coyotes have it closed.

Re: Hot Springs Mountain is OK now.

Thanks, I've updated the text.
