The word is outI got the idea of coming out here 10 years ago from Huell Howser's TV program. It was wonderfully uncrowded and silent, but I did miss the unprecedented wildflower season by a couple months... Drat!
9 years later, I returned for the next "superbloom" and was amazed... but just as much at the profusion of rubberneckers as well as flowers.

First TimeSpent a day here, on my way to joshua Tree. I was sad to have mnissed the peak of the wildflower season. Next year, rain willing, I will go again.

Many TimesCamped and explored out here many times during wildflower season :)
