Camped just upstream from the blind valley near the Clear Creek branch that flows between Doubletop and Triangle Peaks. Wonderful views, I have always wanted to return by way of West Dell Creek drainage, which I'm sure is equally fine.

South approach
The last two miles of road had some treacherously muddy spots. I'm glad I climbed this choss-heap while mostly covered in snow. Also tagged Triangle while I was in the area. Trip report.
One of the best days of my life was the day I summitted Doubletop Peak on a perfect Indian summer day in Oct. 1996. I had a camp down below near the headwaters of West Dell Creek. The weather was beautiful and the views of the Tetons and Winds were second to none. I did not see another soul for the 3 days I was on this backpack. Hiking up the south side of the peak was very fun with interesting limestone formations and sinkholes. I hope to return again someday. I even took a swim in the small lake at the base of the peak, whew, very cold.
