"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Tougher than it looksInteresting hike along the ridge; still ran into snow patches even in July. Had a huge rattlesnake scare me into jumping into a chest deep snowbank. The altitude totally kicked my ass and was take-100-steps-and-rest blown the last mile.

Tried going up Centennial TrailThe Centennial "trail" was constant bushwacking for miles......but then the markers quit. So I was forced to turn around. Lost the markers 3 times on the way down and almost called search and rescue due to water running out. Made it an 8 hour day with lots of small cuts and bruises. Never again!

Francis to ThurstonBeautiful views all along the trail. Great conditions once you leave the road. Competed with a few ATVs along the road to the GWT.

A walk in the park...A nice 'walk' to the highest peak in Davis and Morgan counties.
