Standard Winter RouteFun snowshoe climb with great weather. Here’s a trip-report and some photos.
The surrounding terrain is pretty mellow for the most part, but you still need to be aware of avalanche risk. There was a fatal one nearby only a few weeks after our climb.

not much snow yetpretty quick trip. I was able to drive to the Gladiator pass trailhead through only a couple of inches of snow. I didnt bother to bring snowshoes on the hike although some areas above 9000ft had a couple of feet of snow. The ridge was blown pretty much free of snow. Some worthwhile views from the summit, particulary the East Fork of the Salmon River.

Awesome Fall DayTook Gladiator Pass trail to the saddle and then climbed up the ridge to the top. Great views from the top, better than I thought. Hiked in t-shirt and shorts!
