Hikers giving up

After coming up and camping at Finger Lake, getting to the base of the Middle Palisade, trying the ledges and 4-5 class ascent, this group of 4 hikers gave up. I caught up with them at Finger Lake and none of them felt sorry for not trying. I have to admit that I appreciate when people know their limits. Who cares if the climb did not seem difficult to me? To them, it was above their skill level.
