In Mixed Rimey Terrain Above Shastarama
January 10, 2010 - In Tom's words: "Great times and dope rimes". Above Shastarama the rock had a lot of rime coverage, which made for some surreal and fun mixed climbing. There's something satisfying about wacking away at the rime with your ice tool like a machete. Slopes here were about 55-60 degrees and we were usually punching down to buried rock and talus.
