"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Great viewsGrade was gentle all the way up, and views of Big T in the afternoon light were fantastic. Hikers who bring their dogs, however, should learn to pick up after them.

Couple timesDone this hike a couple of times and will probably never do it again. Second time was very hot and there was a zillion bugs. Otherwise, the views from the ugly summit are very nice.

Run, Bike, HikeOne of my very favorite running and biking routes. I've done it dozens of times, in decreasing order, by running, biking and hiking. I especially enjoy those yellow flowers with a beautiful scent along the lower fire road during the spring.
