"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Route Climbed: Yakhchal Peak Date Climbed: June 21, 2005My guide & I started at the Chooren Pass at the base of Azad Kooh. Climbed Yakhchal Peak and then decided to continue on to Sarmahoo & Kaman Kooh. Some class III scrambling was required below the summit of Kaman Kooh. Went to descend down the northern slopes of Kaman Kooh to reach the lake but this proved to be too difficult for me. Two hours later and only 100 m lower, we decided to go back up to the summit and retrace our route over Yakhchal Peak. By the time we camped by the lake, it was 8 p.m. Very windy day. Absolutely beautiful. Not a single cloud.
