"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Killian's DeadClimbed with Nathan and Sherri (Sherry?) (sp?). My first time climbing at the Golden Cliffs. I climbed Killian's twice, and it was a bit tougher than I expected, or maybe I'm just a wuss.
It was a glorious day for climbing, and there were a ton of climbers on the cliffs this day. I attempted Deck Chairs, but I was unsuccessful. We hit Woody's in Golden afterward.

First outdoor climb!First time outdoors! Went up with guide, Jack Roberts for lessons on anchors and top rope site management, had a great time with him. Made it up this crack on my first attempt, after a brief hesitation when first getting into the crack.

Again...a classic. My first trad lead. Easy climbing so learning to place gear here is good.

continuation of a good dayYet another of my Golden favs. I had been eyeing this route for a while and was happy to finally climb it. The trad practice was a bonus.
