Couloir climb
Climbed a nice couloir above Lake Marie that was moderate for the most part, but had a near vertical exit due to the cornice remnant. Slogged over to Browns and Sugarloaf afterwards which involved a lot of talus and not a lot of fun.

Pure Nature and Wild
An awesome loop that can be jogged with nearly all of it above timberline. See over 100 miles in every direction on a clear day. Serene alpine lakes, wooded areas down low, and clean air. This was the first time I climbed it, but there were many other climbs and jogs around the loop that crosses the summit. Highly recommended. Can be cold in July up there.

Great day hike
Great day hike - still lots of snow on the trail and not a whole lots of people considering it was a clear and beautiful day. Started from Lake Marie TH, went up to the summit, and did a loop by connecting to the Lakes Trail. Gorgeous area.
From Lake Marie TH, very gentle hike to the back with lots of frozen runoff streams. Beautiful views of the many lakes in every direction. Loop down the Libby Lake TH back to Lake Marie. Wonderful, clear, crisp day!

beautiful area
Went up from Lewis lake picnic area and loved the hike. I was about the 3rd to summit on this day but on the way down I met a couple dozen on their way up. This is a popular area.

went up to get out of the smoke, and to view the smoke. Sad for all who have lost their homes. Looks like a huge fire. Perfect day, some snow in spots, Harley the dog had fun....Austin Huff, Tyler Renner, two East CC runners.

Medicine Bow
This was a bad weather day but I quickly snuck up the mtn as best as I could. I also tagged the nearby COHP liner. Very pretty area.
Hiked from the West Lake Marie trailhead. Absolutely beautiful hike...spectacular views all along the route to the top. Once we crossed the boulder filed along the back of the summit, there wasn't much to enjoy. The views from the summit may not have been worth the work to get to the top! We looped around and were essentially chased from the ridge by an oncoming thunderhead...running down the mountain was actually quite exhilarating and the path was well maintained. :)
Climbed as soon as the snow cleared. Easy access and a high elevation starting point make this an easy 12,000 summit. Great views. Colorado don't got nothing on WYO!

Beautiful!!!
Wow! What a pretty area. hiked up from Lake Marie and down Lakes Trail. It was a beautiful day and I couldn't move too fast on this one. It's not that it was a difficult hike. It was just too pretty to not stop and look around.
