I was looking at your great picture, when i noticed the date i zoomed in on the photo and there was our little north face tent outside the Tete Rousse Hut. This was the exact date we climbed Mont Blanc, We set off from the tent at 03:15 and did not get back to our tent until 22:00! (2 of us really struggled with the altitude) you must of passed us on our way up, around the Dome Du Gouter area. It is a Magical place, I have done it twice now, struggled like hell both times! but still loved it.
indeed that's an incredible coincidence ; ) ... i remember there was no room in gouter hut and we slept in the diner room floor at the tete rousse hut. We set off the hut at around 1am, you should have been sleeping in your tent at that time .. Wonderful and strenous experience getting up to Mont Blanc anyhow and I am glad we did it in the same day !!
