No more postholing!
Pleased to say no need for spikes and no more postholing! Road was quite accessible in my Outback. Car-camped just past the communication towers. Very windy when you get over that first ridge, but then the wind dissipated. Windy again when I descended, at the same place, makes me wonder if it's one of those wind tunnel phenomena there - so hang in there if it happens to you! Great day otherwise, and the summer hikers are coming out now - busiest summit I've had all year so far (except for Pikes).

E Ridge
solo in September, an easy hike with the pretty Aspen leaves changed in full yellow and a few inches of snow towards the summit.

Nice Hike
Super quick hike up and down. Will come back with my skis!
Climbed from the towers with Brian. Nice day till the thunderstorms came. Nice calf cramp on the descent and the flickering of electricity in the trekking poles was scary...but otherwise fun trip.

Worst 14er
A miserable hump over large loose talus. Will only return at deepest snowpack towards the end of winter, with skiis.

Eh.
Was planning for Ellingwood Ridge on La Plata, so it's not surprising when the late June snow forced me south to Princeton that it was less than epic. Nothing special, but still happy to reach the top!
Climbed Princeton with my family. My sister got altitude sickness, but she made it, what a trooper. Lots of rock, but great views.

lots of rock hoppers
Summited Princeton on a sunny day starting from about 10,500` on the road below the radio towers the day after summiting Mt. Harvard. Crowded trails and summit, I didn`t like this route very much but I had to scratch it off of my list.

Talus DogsThe trail is great until you hit the talus on top. It didn't stop 6 dogs from making the summit today.
