South ridge from Tijeras
Dayhiked Tijeras and Music from the Music Pass TH. The ramps were still holding snow. I took a shorter, steeper one (I didn't hike up high enough to see the standard one). The route over to Music's south ridge, it's summit ridge, and then the east ridge descent were all more involved than I had thought. I had thought they'd be easy tundra, but they all took more time than anticipated. Music's south ridge was a lot of fun.

East Ridge
With Rachael. Found a good climbers trail around the lake that got us through the lower bushwhack, its probably more for climbing Tijeras but worked for us as well. The final ridge to the true summit has some exposure that was unexpected. Fun day out.
Climbed the East Ridge. Solid rock interspersed with grassy ledges. Crux of the route is the last scramble right before the north summit, where there is significant exposure off to the east.

Music Mtn, South Ridge
Me and two friends camped at lower sand creek lake and climbed the south ridge on a perfect day. The ramp up to music was actually the only part that seemed difficult, as the grassy ledges above the climbing are soft and very exposed, with nothing to really hold onto as you scramble up. The rock on the ridge itself was solid, never exceeding what might be considered 5.2. Really, it was mostly 4th class with good holds and tons of exposure. Awesome!

N-S Traverse
Doug and I left Upper Sand Creek Lake in the not-so-early morning and walked up slabs behind camp and into the Milwaukee-Marble basin and eventual trail at the lower saddle and did Milwaukee's north ridge and continued on to Music Mountain's (north) ridge and descended Music's south ridge to Tijeras saddle. Then up the not-very-exciting (given what we had already done) ridge to the top of Tijeras and then back down the upper big ramp of the Music rock band and traverse onto Music's east ridge (where it is broad and flat)and back down to camp. 8 hours for two slow and old FBs. GREAT trip.

East ridge
Hard to believe this peak sees so few visitors! Gained the east ridge at ~12800' after doing Tijeras. Fun scramble, but it was over too soon!

East ridge from Music Pass TH
The east ridge is a very fun, albeit short, scramble. Combined with neighboring Tijeras Peak for a great day out.
