Re: What did you do?LOL... I wish! I would love to take a photography class. It is on my list of things to do soon!
I have about 20 hummers buzzing around my place every day. I have taken about 100 shots and have ended up with a few good shots. Plus a new photo editing program that I have been trying out helps. I really haven't had to edit much on some of the good shots, just zoom in a bit.
Thanks for your comment.

Re: Wow!I live in a place where we have dozens of hummers every day. I have taken a ton of shots to get a few good ones. I could spend hours watching them, they are so much fun!

Perfect FormI don't know the first thing about photography, but it seems that you have used a high speed shutter setting. Is that what you did to get such a shot?

Re: Perfect FormYes, I did use high shutter setting. I am just an amateur photographer myself. I am learning though. I often have dozens of pictures before I get the right shot.
Thanks!

Re: Nice capture!Thank you! I love theese little critters, they are so fun to watch. I have dozens of them all summer at my house. I go through about 6 cups of food a day keeping them happy. They are a challenge to photograph at times though, and I am just a beginner in the photography department.

Re: Awsome.....Thank you very much!
I'm not sure how I ended up with such a clear shot either..... but when you take hundreds of shots, the odds of getting at least a few good ones is fairly good. :0)
I am still quite an amateur of photography, and don't find time to learn what I need to.
You have some gret pictures as well!
Have a very Merry Christmas, and happy hiking in 2010!
Blessings!

Re: PerfectThank you so much for your kind compliment...
.... and coming from such a great photographer...
Your landscape photography is amazing, and of places that I have known...
I lived in Idaho for a few years and enjoyed the Sawtooths.... and now in Western Colorado.

Great shotI know how hard it can be to get a picture of a hummingbird, but when you do it turns out amazing. Way to be persistent.
