"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Not for the clumsy! The most gorgeous ridge I've ever seen! Freaky drops down both sides! Made it most of the way before turning back. It snowed a lot the day before and the snow was really soft and I chickened out to take it to the finish line! But, just fantastic!!!!!

Dramatic drops on both sides! The first time that I stood on the ridge was in July 2009. Upon glimpsing the dramatic drops on either side, I realized that I was not yet ready for the crossing of the West ridge to the Aiguille de Rochefort. It took another year and more experience on very steep ice & snow (ie. Aiguille de Chardonnet and Tour Ronde) before I completed a successful venture (with a local guide Eric and my son Christoph) on this spectacular, famous ridge!
