The Rime Traverse

February 15th, 2010 - Nearly done traversing over numerous rime-covered ribs, we finally got to climb more straight up the slopes. This stretch was really fun - lots of exposure, and slopes starting at 40 degrees and maxing out at 50 degrees at the top. I think I'd want to climb with a rope and pickets here in hard snow conditions. Earlier stretches didn't have much space between the rock bands. For convenience, I'm calling this stretch the "Rime Traverse".
