Peak 2 of 2 in one day
Long dirt road to get to trailhead. Hiked with LVMC. Bagged right after Badger Mountain. Steep final scree approach to summit. Foil covered rocks are entertaining.

Tikaboo
Very remote peak, the trash from the UFO crackpots was disappointing, but the views of the Pahranagat Range and Area 51 were sweet. About 1.5 hours car to car. Went over to the Area 51 gate afterwards.

Interesting Morning
Easy Hike up, cool view, not just of Area 51 but of the whole, interesting area. Fun!
On my third trip to Tikaboo Peak, my girlfriend, brother, and I camped at the top. We heard sonic booms and saw some really neat maneuevers at night. Not to mention the base lights were a spectacular sight.
The peak seems to have more litter and more critters everytime we go. Keep it clean!

Route Climbed: West from Badger Date Climbed: May 29, 2004Bizarre, but I saw a red sports car when I was there, also. It looked out-of-place, next to our Jeep. But, the road in is really very good.
The top of Tikaboo was covered with junk form the Area 51 fans -- an old sleeping bag, a mousetrap, etc.
Badger Peak is a much more solitary summit.

Route Climbed: Interceptor Trail Date Climbed: July 24 1995Tikaboo is a great climb. Back in the early years you
had to negotiate quite a bit of scree/talus at the
beginning, that's all been well trampled now. Making
the climb a breeze.
