Re: I love that styleAnother great one! I especially enjoy these high and narrow, wooden towers, they always contrast to the rest of the building and landscape so much, that's incredible for someone who sees that for the first time!

Re: I love that styleTomek, I can only encourage you to visit this area. It is simply incredible. The customs and traditions are slightly different than PL of course, but I had the weird feeling to be in Podhale 50 years ago !

Re: I love that styleThanks Eric, I will surely go there rather sooner than later. I was hitchhiking through Maramures while evacuating myself from Rodnei and Carpathians in hellish, flood conditions, man what an adventure it was! Lucky me, after 2 days of crossing the mountains I got to Lwow...
I knew what to expect in Maramures, I saw THEM out of the window, now I want to touch them :)

Slavonic Wordsin the area. This is no doubt an aside:) but my great-grandma's name was Paraska:)
