100% tourist
Beat the Memorial Day crowds and hit ALL of the tourist trails along the shuttle bus route. Interesting place, but left the Narrows, West Rim Trail and the whole backcountry unexplored for my next trip.

in the spring of 2009. Weather was wonderful and the views fantastic. The Angels Landing trail is not for the faint of heart

Zion Traverse
Completed a 48 mile one day ultra run across Zion from the east entrance to the west (Kolob) entrance with Craig Lloyd (jun32) and Matt Van Horn. The scenery on the east rim trail is out of this world cool and the run down to Zion Canyon is magical. Last year we completed 30 miles on our attempt at the traverse before getting caught in a snow/rain/hail storm that forced us to bail. This is a must do for any ultra runner.
two trips both for moonlight buttress, i would love to come back and check out some canyoneering into the narrows. and also some of the free climb routes.
Did this twice, forgot the years - but definitely one of my favorite nature spots on Earth - there is a little of everything here - from rocks to water to great hiking and vegetation - and great food at the cafeteria :) Great for a day or two trip from Vegas!
