Re: i like itHaha! But no, it was the other way around. Here you see us arriving in New Zealand, after a long journey from the planet Zorq.
Using the saucer avoids those nasty customs at the NZ airports ;-))

A matter of gravityI like the way it illustrates how people in the Southern Hemisphere have to take special precautions to avoid falling off the earth, being on the bottom of the globe, and all. Could that explain why sheep are such a major product - their wool works like Velcro? So much to ponder :-)

Re: A matter of gravityLol! And Mt. Cook is therefore a piece of cake to climb ;-))

Very Very Nice Picture! It puts a smile on my face when I see this pic. Must have been a really great moment to be there. I've always dreamed of going to New Zeland and Mount Cook....some day!
By the way, interesting caption clarifying that it's a real photo, that this place exits on Earth!

Re: Very Very Nice Picture!I'm glad it made you smile. This was a very nice day, on a very nice holiday. NZ is something I will never forget; it's well worth the money and effort to get there!

Re: FlyI'm glad you like the photo. Have you been to NZ yet? It seems you've been everywhere, NZ shouldn't be missing from the list :-)

Re: FlyI lived in NZ for some time, mostly in KeriKeri. Climbing there..."""blushing""". Two failed attempts on Taranaki!
Those rainstorms...jogging shoes etc.

Jumping For Jesus? One of the best "people/landscape" shots I've ever seen! Quality framing and living room material IMO....

was the landing hard?Great shot, manages to be funny while still keeping the beauty of the landscape
Rick B - Feb 18, 2006 11:30 pm - Hasn't voted
Re: was the landing hard? The landing was OK, just as long as you manage to land on the same rock. Jumping half a meter forward could've been painful :-) We also did some handstands there, those were a bit more scary ... (The Jesus wasn't that spectacular btw)

Dude...that shot is totally Xtreme! If the guy in the middle had a snowboard he'd be pulling a fat olly! Nice looking lenticular over an impressive peak, too.

Re: Dude...Thanks for the comment! Yeah Simon (in the middle) gets all the credit for jumping the highest and coolest. I thought we all jumped like I did, until I saw the picture and everybody was doing something different.
