as above bad weatherWe had plans for one of the Tofana's, but it was raining, so we decided to hike a lower mountain. Great history there, great exploration of tunnels (helmets are useful here otherwise you will bump your head into low ceilings).

Bad weather climbClimbed via Pioniersteig from the north. Very impressive hiking route with good views into and across Höhlensteintal. Explored the WW I positions and trenches on the Piano / Piana summit plateau. Descended by the eastern route into Rienztal.
