Ton-o-boring
A tedious slog even though I came over Cleaver col which was pretty nice especially compared to the Russell-Carrilon pass. The views did redeem the peak.

needs new register
The summit register is in bad shape. It's one of those metal cylinders about 4" in diameter. The lid was missing, and although someone had put the books inside the ziplock of a wag bag, they were both very wet. Both books are also full. We took the books out of the wag bag and left them underneath the inverted can, in hopes that the pages would drain and dry out.

Day 9 of the 2006 Sierra Challenge. Climbed with Bob Burd. Tagged The Cleaver first from the west face, then descended the Cleaver's NW ridge for a quick dip at Tulainyo Lake before ascending the south slope of Tunnabora. About 4.5 hours from Whitney Portal. Ran into Charles at Tunnabora's summit.
