Re: Great compositionThanks. and I will reply with a question: Doesn't everybody optimize for color, contrast and sharpness like you would trust a good photo lab to do and like ansel adams was so fond of doing with his B&W images? This is a scanned Fuji print (saturated Reala color film) and very close to how the scene actually appeared ;)

Re: Great compositionThere was no criticism implied. I think the picture looks great. The transition between ice and snow looks almost like a painter's brush. Anyhow photography isn't reality, it's just a try to capture it on paper and by optimizing various parameters you are probably closer to what the real thing looked like than with a "normal" photo. So it doesn't bother me at all... I just have a problem with overly pink sunsets.
