Antelope Squirrels

Antelope Squirrels

White-tailed Antelope Squirrels (Ammospermophilus leucurus) playing hide and seek with me in Wetlands Park Nature Preserve, Las Vegas, Nevada. April 2010. Antelope Squirrels nesting burrows are under shrubs and in the open. They may have 2 or 3 entrances. The burrow system extends no more than 2 feet below the surface.
