Armando da Roit, guardian of the Vazzoler refuge, Dolomiti guide, smoked strong black toscans as hard as wood and smelling like hell! His daughters and grand daughters called him "Tama", the inhabitants of Agordo and the Belluno region called him "el amico del popolo" which he was as well as a friend to all climbers coming to the Civetta from wherever town and country.
