Badlands Peak-- Ridge to Summit Area
I used this ridge to gain the final ridges leading to the summit. This ridge features jagged, rotten rock for holds and/or loose dirt beneath the feet in many places. It goes at Class 3, but it feels harder, or more dangerous, than Class 3 usually entails due to the unstable conditions. The sharp, small-looking rocks near the upper center are where this route culminates. From them, the rest of the way to the summit is a Class 2 walk.
