The return on investment with this one is amazing.
Biked within a half mile of the clearing, snow prevented biking further. Had no trouble finding the bootpath even in the snow, but was quickly bogged down by knee to waist deep snow. Was surprised to see two fixed lines on the route; they came in handy on the descent. Some of the hardest work I’ve ever done for a summit this low- but it was well worth it.

Fun scramble
Had a fun bike ride approach followed by a nasty bushwhack and steep scramble. Found a summit register on top and had awesome views to the south & west. Would be a great spot to camp except for the approach. I approached counter-clockwise from the east side. On my descent, a Whidbey Prowler banked and flew right through the low notch just north of Bald and was so close I could see the pilot in the cockpit. That was extremely loud and very cool!
If you don't have much time and want the full blown experience of a summit, I highly recommend this Mountain. It has everything all bundled up in one small, fiesty, turn key package. Great Views!!!

Bald and CavanaughTwo peaks by bicycle. The upper section was icy and we were glad to use the fixed lines. There is a Fay Pullen register in the summit cairn.

Cool GemNow there is a hand line for the scramble up this mountain. There were no views on the summit, however many of the side southern rocks had good views.

WetNot a bad quick trip. Light rain on the approach made for a soaking on the bootpath up the North side. Bicycles woulda been nice.
