Battleship Mountain! A Desert Classic Ridge Scramble. So fun!
Click on full pics to be able to see how sweet it was. 85 degree heat finally caught up with me on the way back, but what a fun route! A mile+ of ridge with mostly 3rd class and a bit of possible 4th class. Good mix of exciting and exposure to keep things just spicy enough.
Not a cloud in the sky and full sun with no shade or water anywhere was a bit draining, but good heat acclimating. Only took 18oz of water and it worked out about right.
Ankle/foot got challenged but held up. We’ll see how it recovers. The prospect of adventure was just too much to say no to. I was shocked to see 10+ other people on the ridge. Of course, they mostly started at 6 to 7am, not 9 like this crazy guy ;)

Intense hike but perfect weather
Rare weather in the 50s. Perfect time to go. Great hike.
