North Ridge
Went via the route from Smoot's book, and got more than I expected. Instead of a Class 2 route, I found some brief Class 4 spots and tricky goings. Found rap rings and several slings. Who goes up there? Wisely returned via South Ridge and Lake Augusta.

Cold overnight at Lake Augusta, followed by a scree scramble / ridge traverse to the summit.

Big Lou And Big Jim
After saying goodbye to Greg and Don on the summit of Big Lou, I traversed the ridge over to Big Jim and found some Class 3 scrambling along the way. The summit register had not been signed since 2010. Was I the first person in 2 years? I then set my bivy sack in the snow near Lake Augusta. My thermometer read 22 degrees during the night and the wind chill overpowered my 17 degree sleeping bag.
