It is kind of natural for me to be doing California cohp's since I am originally from California. 33 down, 25 to go. Lyell, Parsons, No Palisade and Ritter are still cohp's I need to go after. Maybe next year. Thanks for your vote and maybe we can hook up sometime.
Well we know if it is named Black Butte than the person who named it must not have been too creative, given that there are a ton of them out there. Nice page. Also I thought I would let you know that you have an open link under the miscellaneous section that is connected to you weather link.
Thanks to you the open link is fixed. You are absolutely right about the way the name "Black Butte" is created, with not a lot of thought, LOL. Thank you for the nice comments and vote.

Untitled CommentThank you for the comment and the vote. I'm ready for summer weather. Some California sun would be just the right cure.

Untitled CommentThanks Bob for the vote and it is true that this would not be a winter hike due to the length of the drive and the snow closure.
Scott Surgent's trip report is interesting as far as his timing on getting this one done.

Looks a lot like the Northern SierrasFunny how this mountain looks a lot like the northern Sierras, especially the areas north of Reno in the Sierra Valley area.
