Great, steep trail. We saw a whole herd of male bighorn sheep thunder across the trail right in front of us at 12,000'
Bagged both Shavano and Tabegauche in 7.25 hours roundrip. Hoards of other hikers being Labor Day weekend, but saw mountain goats and bighorn sheep.
Amazing hike, I was in complete fog from 12,200 feet to the summit, weather prevented me from doing tabaquache. I can easily do this again.
Well, had to climb the ridge looking for one of my dogs, but climbed I did. Beautiful day!
Got em both despite the bad forecast!
