"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Long drive, easy climbClimbed from Tank Summit, following Dennis/Dean's excellent directions. Just 3 minor additions to access info. 1) At the Log Springs waypoint, the "main track" doesn't feel like the main track. The "main track" is the much brushier-looking track to the right. 2) If coming from Ely, it's a bit faster to approach from 318, rather than 6. The Wells Station road is 4 miles longer from 318, but straighter, smoother & faster. 3) The last 3 miles to Tank Summit will scratch the **** out of your vehicle.

Beautiful areaDennis Poulin and I visited this one on a beautiful day in September. All cross country and our reward was a summit with outstanding views in all directions.
