Abrams-Brown Traverse
Fun day out! Started about 1 mile below trailhead (8884 rd.). Summited Abrams first then traversed the ridge to the summit of Brown. Wildflowers everywhere! 7.5 hr car-to-car. 10.5 miles, 4,300' vert

FSR 884
Took FSR 884 for a couple miles to a mine & parked. Hiked the road to the end, up the slopes to the north ridge. Summit ridge had a couple false summits, but it's all grassy class 2.
Weather threatened all day. Some sweet views though!
From above Ironton via the Gray Copper trail then up the grassy southwest ridge with Jamie. Great hike and summit that are green and grassy, such a lovely change from the usual San Juan 13er choss!

the ridge from Abrams
hiked up the whole ridge from Abrams to Brown, and descended down to Ironton. Done with Duchess.

More Rainbow than BrownHiked up the east Ridge from the 4WD road in Alaska Basin. Pretty chill hike with every color imaginable on that mountainside.

Ridge to AbramsWith Ryan Draft. Up via Grey Copper Ck trail, then along the ridge to Abrams. Back down via the Brown Mtn Rd from Lost Day Mine. Nice ridge hike.

speedy sundaygray cooper trail from ironton with mike. grassy south slopes to a grassy summit was a fantastic surprise! added on red mtn #1, 9mi/4300', 5:55 RT.

Route Climbed: Brown Mountain Road Date Climbed: June 30, 2003Wanted to climb Abrams, ended up on 13288. Turned out to be a great mountain.
