Hiked with Krishanna, Scott, Juliet, and Liz. Pretty place for a mellow hike. Several mountain bikers along the way.

Castle Rock
Woke up in Janesville, WI at midnight. Left home at 1:00 a.m. Drove 100 miles to Chicago. Parked at the far end and took the train to terminal. 5:30 a.m. flight to reach Denver at 7:00, then leave Denver at 8:00 to reach Durango at 9:00. Although we had reservations, Alamo Rental Car made us wait 1 hour. While wife drove, I changed in the back of the car. Was dropped off at Elbert Creek Trailhead where I started my hike at 11:05 a.m. Summited at noon. Began to rain hard. Continued north and descended down to Purgatory Ski Village at 2:15 p.m. where we had rented a place.

Nice HikeMy dog & I hiked up this morning in fantastic weather. 55 minutes up & 45 minutes down.
