So Regal
It doesn't look like too mighty a hill from the road, but the vantage from seated on the Stone Throne may be one of the best you will find... nothing looks better than Timp's backside covered in snow on a clear winter's day.

Fun Little Jaunt
I think I counted about 900 steps from the point near the water in which we started to go straight up the steep ridge. The chair on top is a throne. It is a good sit. I would do this again just to put my buns on that lofty seat.

The Gift That Keeps Giving
So this little hill is more like a thrill and kind of a pill, do it in December if you want a nice chill. We passed a bone, a remain from a kill, had million dollar views without paying a bill. If you remain real quiet and sit very still, you'll hear and see the fish swim and breathe through a gill. Now go on over and get your good fill, for after all there is a chair on top of the hill.

Where's the snow?
I had been saving this one to do on snowshoes and when I got 15 new inches in my yard on top of what was already there I thought it was the perfect time. Unfortunately, at the peak, there was only about 1-2" new on top of a 0-2" crust in most places. Very cold, only 6F in the middle of the afternoon.

Son's first summit
Hiked up to the chair with my soon to be 4 year old. He's been begging me to go hiking and didn't want to hike the "Y" as we had originally planned so I figured this would be a good alternative. He was such a trooper. I did carry him most of the way down, though =). Made for a good workout.

The Chair
Went up the east face and descended the north ridge. Good view of Timpanogos and Deer Creek Reservoir. I saw several deer on the peak and lots of their tracks in the snow.
Just ran up to the top with a few friends back in HS. Chased a fox a good portion of the way and also some dear closer to the top. I always thought it would be pretty epic to try sledding down onto a frozen deer creek!

Fun!
This is a great winter hike for when you don't have an entire day to do something bigger. Great workout, with awesome views of Timp from the top.
