I have read since this report that the trail up this canyon to the top was closed by the park a few years ago.

Re: Totally awesome!There is no bridge, but the extreme end of the North side of the canyon is about 30 feet lower than the rest of the canyon edge, and very accessible. However, while I was comfortable taking a shot from this great platform, there was enough of a fracture between it and the main rock to keep me from eating lunch there!
