Cervino classic view from Breuil is less known that the one seen from Zermatt...but anyhow clouds are often wrapping up the summit, even when the weather is good. It's just one of the most stormy peak of the Alps!

Re: Beautiful and differentYes, I've seen a lot of shots with the peak trailing a flag of clouds on one side. It also reminds me of the Mustagh Tower in the Karakoram in this shot if you know about that peak.

Re: Beautiful and differentYes, the shape of Matterhorn in this perspective just can remind the Mustagh Tower, when seen from the Baltoro Glacier...a steep and mighty peak built by dark rocks often snow covered.

FistI clearly see the summit rocks as a giant fist where the knuckles form the summit line. A very good picture indeed.
