Diving Board - Easiest route up to the Diving Board

This is the easiest route up to the Diving Board as seen from the top of Liberty Cap. It's important to cross over the saddle between Broderick and Half Dome and start descending. The trail descends about 200 feet and crosses a creek and then begins ascending diagonally through the trees. The trail is marked but it's easy to lose. Once you get up the steep sections, it's best to stay in the more open areas to the left. It's much easier to ascend there and then cut all the way over to the right. There's a final sandy hill on the far right that leads up to the Diving Board and Half Dome.
