"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Not bad for a use trailAs far as San Gabriels use trails go, this isn't bad (even has switchbacks!), but gloves are still a good idea for the crumbly bits. The brush clearance near the top has created a field of punji sticks - so tread carefully.

Short and steepIf you go down the west side and loop back up to the parking lot it's probably 3.5 miles or so. The trail is very neglected near the creek.

Great ViewsHave climbed this ridge many times. Looking up the ridge from the parking area you can tell it's pretty steep so it probably doesn't tempt the hiker who just wants a moderate trail hike.
