Gannett Peak

Gannett Peak

On Gooseneck Ridge with the Gooseneck Pinnacle. It sure looked smaller from Bonney's Pass. This other guy standing there talking to Matt soloed and decided to glisade down from here. I wonder if he forgot about the meter wide fracture in the snow toward the bottom of the slope. He left a huge crater on the lower side of the crevass but I guess the important thing is that he cleared the void. Who knows how deep it was? (Photo by Peter Frischmann)

Re: Nice shot!

It was a fun mountain. We actually camped on Bonney's Pass which made the climb a lot easier on summit day, especially since it was raining til about 7 am.
