Chikamin Peak towers over remote Glacier Lake while Lewis' Monkeyflower grows on the banks. This type of Monkeyflower (Mimulus lewisii) is lined with a sticky substance to catch and eat flies. In fact, you can see one victim inside the flower on the right. It grows at elevations between 4000 and 9000 feet and prefers to be next to bodies of water. Photographed August 17, 2010.
