Re: Susquehanna River
Wow, that's crazy and the Internet supports your claim. Also says it has been around since the Paleozoic Era (543 to 248 million years ago). http://www.middlesusquehannariverkeeper.org/10-fun-facts.html
Where are you hearing this? Wikipedia calls it the longest river in the *continental US* without commercial traffic (other than cross-river ferries or pleasure cruises) today.
The Susquehanna *was* fully navigable for a while - canals and locks were built, but are now in disrepair.
If a couple of rapids and dams are enough to make a river "unnavigable", then I'm going with the Nile for world champion. Within the US, I can't see how the Colorado is any more navigable than the Susquehanna.

Re: Susquehanna River
Impossible to know how long the Mighty Susquehanna is, because no human has ever navigated it. duh.
When T-Rex and Raptors were drinking out of the Susquehanna, the Nile was a desert. Just sayin.
