"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

So much to seeWent here over Spring Break with the family and had a wonderful time. Hole in the Wall Road, Peekaboo and Spooky Canyons and just lots of exploring in general. I'd love to go back with more time and a more ambitious agenda.

So much to do - so little time.Spent a few days in the GSENM with Escalante as our base. Did some slots, drives, hikes in this wonderful area. The Staircase was one place I really wanted to cross off the list and we'll be back soon.

Love It!The first time I was here a buddy and I did a quick backpack trip up The Gulch from the Burr Trail. Nothing too exciting there, but a good introduction to a spectacular area. Years later I met my family out here and we spent some time around the Burr Trail exploring the Circle Cliffs and hiking down Wolverine Canyon. Then we headed over to the Hole-in-the-Rock Road and did some exploring in that area. We hiked from Egypt Bench down to the Escalante River along Fence Canyon, drove all the way out to the Hole-in-the-Rock and hiked down to Lake Powell, and explored the lower narrows of Bighorn Canyon from Harris Wash. There is just so much to do here and I can't wait to come back!

Slot canyonsUp Peek-a-Boo and down Spooky. Pretty tight twists and turns in Spooky. Calf Creek Falls is a sweet hike on a hot day.

Perfect Place in SpringI went here to do some canyoneering after I got tired of the crowds in Moab. Remote and full of surprises...everything I hoped for.
