Nice Hike
Snowy hike up from Church Fork trailhead. Pretty hike in spite of lack of views due to weather. Included side trip to Church Fork Peak. Trip Report

Amazing steep leg burner
I’ve run this mountain many times, both up the west face, and the church fork trail. It’s a classic each and every time. The west face is by far more strenuous, and will help you develop good quads and a booty.

Beautiful Spring Hike
Great hike with gorgeous views of Salt Lake City and beyond! Most of the snow had melted, excluding a small section near the top, which is pretty well packed anyway. Up and back with my 12-year old son in shorts and trail runners in almost exactly 5 hours. I would recommend doing this one later in the day when it's a bit cooler and coming down in time to see the sunset over SLC. Simply breathtaking!

Grandeur
It had snowed the night before, and the trail was covered in snow beginning at the trailhead all the way to the summit. The new snow made the scenery nice. I enjoyed this little peak. I hiked the Church Fork trail.
Climbed this with a friend and it kicked both our butts. Seems like it's just the sustained steep grade that does it. We've done many other longer hikes with more elevation gain that felt easier. Great training hike!

Mount Grandeur
4/8/2016---Mount Grandeur: Utah----8,299’
We truly went through the 3 seasons on this hike…it was incredibly windy and cold the first half of the hike, then oddly enough the higher we climbed and more exposed we got the sunnier and warmer we became. Roughly the last 200’ vertical feet were in the snow, which was absolutely awesome!! I have to do another hike in the snow soon!!
I’m sad to say that neither Scott nor I were in good enough shape for this hike. I’m not sure if it was the altitude, or if it was just the previous 6 days of hiking catching up to us, but we were hurting pretty bad and almost called it quits halfway up.
o Begin at 5000’ and end at 8299’
o Approximately 3300’ of elevation game over 2.5 miles
o 5 miles roundtrip

True to Its Name
Crazy high temps in the valley made us escape to the mountains. Hadn't done Grandeur yet and decided to head up. Great trail with wonderful views. No wonder it is a Salt Lake staple.
