hiked with Maddie, as my first peak in the area. After getting a good idea of the layout of the valley for a few weeks, it was time to get the aerial view. This is an easy trail, with only 700 ft gain, and you get GREAT views of Shasta, the Siskiyous and the Rogue Valley. Highly recommended for those looking for less challenge and more reward.
Great views of Shasta if you continue down the trail a bit.

Beautiul day on Grizzly
Enjoyable hike. Much better than I expected really. The views were good and it was a great way to spend a couple hours.

Loop trail
It is an easy trail and kind of fun. Missed the rattlesnake, though. Jill made me walk in front through that section. Need to get a dog to hike with as I don't like being the snake bait.

Snowshoed this one with my friend Brett. It was much harder to reach the summit this time, although not too bad. Definately felt like I had to work for it, unlike in the summer. Followed the trail for most of the way and then decided to climb uphill to the summit since my GPS told me where it was.

Summited, although no great feat to be able to do so. Nonetheless, this was an enjoyable hike with some pretty great views for the small amount of effort.

Big views for little effortI saw Mt. Shasta, Mt. Ashland, Wagner Butte, the Table Rocks, but not from the actual summit, which is surrounded by tall fir trees.
