In April 1998 six of us set out on a sponsored walk from sea level to Snowdon and back again . . . well that was the idea, we succumbed to the use of a bus once down from the summit. This is at the shore front in Bangor (north Wales)a stones throw from Port Penrhyn, built in the 1800’s by Richard Pennant, the first Baron Penrhyn.
