...quite the experience! Glad you're okay, and hoping those bummed-up ankles don't slow the start of your climbing season too much... Get right back out there!
My daughter has become quite the writer, just like her dad! She has a flair for the dramatic. As I read her story, I could feel my ankle popping. Yeesh! This was a close one and it could have been worse. Thank God for small miracles, and for Rachel and Tamie being there. Yep, I always contend that you should never hike alone, even in places relatively close to home. With a serious injury, suddenly home can seem incedibly far away. Thanks girls for handling the situation so well and keep your heads in the game. Thanks Shanna for posting this on SP, hopefully it will instruct those that follow and keep them out of harm's way.
Looks nasty! Glad you weren't hurt worse! In the years to come you can refer to this as the time you were beat up by Three Sisters and a Brother. Much like my old Harvard knee injury. :)
Hey beautiful! Good to hear from you! Thanks for reading the report. I hope my knee injury doesnt last - it is painful! Tell Kara and Dennis hey for me. :)

Ouch!It hurts just to look at th picture of your ankle.
I will hike alone if it is a well traveled trail, but will not hike alone in isolated locations. However, I can see your Dad's view point.

Re: Ouch!Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the comment. I can see it too... But I love solitude, - I just have to be careful!

Another War StoryHi Shanna,
Looks nasty! Glad you weren't hurt worse! In the years to come you can refer to this as the time you were beat up by Three Sisters and a Brother. Much like my old Harvard knee injury. :)
