E Y E S of the Lizard

E Y E S of the Lizard

If you're walking through the desert south of Camp Verde, AZ, you might stumble upon this formation that resembles the head of a lizard. What? The only thing I had to drink that day was water, and the only drug I took was an aspirin from looking into the sun too long!!! Nice pic and nice song

You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain

Cheers.

Aye

This lizard's eye does resemble a classic (limestone) karst feature

Re: Aye

Yes, there's a small "slot canyon" and
evidence that an ancient stream ran through this area. As the water "kissed" these bodies
of limestone, a chemical reaction resulted in
breaking down the rocks INTO these amazing and bizarre shapes.

As soon as the American dollar makes a rebound, I would like very much to visit the
Karst regions of central Europe.

Re: Aye

OK, bearing in mind lava or sandstone occasionally produce similar holes and caverns.

Plus you don't sound very optimistic :-(

Re: Aye

Neigh, how can I NOT be optimistic if I just
watched the new James Bond movie???

"I'll have mine shaken, not stirred!" :)
