Down memory lane...It reminds me that around that time dozens of resorts were built and opened up all over the San Gabriel Mountains here in LA, too. It was the awakening of outdoor recreation at the time of major industrialization. People just craved to get out of the cities.
Nice pic. Thanks.

Re: not a problem...I really MISS the "days gone by" part of the
equation! When I see these historic buildings,
I feel I'm goin' back in time. For me, it's
ALWAYS a much scarier prospect to ADVANCE
forward in time. What does 'advance' really mean??? ??? Thanks for commenting!

Funny thingLarry, we did have a yellow Datsun about that time. But ours was not that model. That datsun of ours was as ugly a car ever made but it was cheap and got good gas mileage. And yes, we did take it up to Sunrise around 1978.

Re: Okay, Dean...I'll delete that part out, so you'll be off
the hook. I like Datsuns, too! I drove a
Datsun in western Alaska, when the price of
fuel was $4.00 per gallon. It didn't surprise
me that most folks owned dog teams, snow
machines or Datsuns to get around in. : )
